This year Villa Rica Main Street will be hosting a Miss Gold Rush Pageant. The Pagent will be held Friday, August 24, 2018, at The Venue in Downtown Villa Rica, Georgia. Entry fee is $65 per participant with an optional Most Photogenic for an additional $10.
The pageant is divided into 7 age divisions with a winner in each division. The Queen will receive a beautiful crown, sash and trophy. Alternates will be determined by the number of contestants participating in each age division and will receive a sash and trophy. All contestants will receive a participation trophy. Contestants do not have to live in Carroll County to participate. 2018 queens in each age group are not eligible to compete in the 2019 pageant but rather invited to assist in crowning the new queen. This pageant is held in conjunction with the Gold Rush Festival.
Miss Gold Rush Age Divisions
Age divisions are determined by the age of the contestant on the day of the pageant. Age Divisions will be grouped as follows:
Baby Miss: 0-23 months
Tiny Miss: 2-3 years old
Little Miss: 4-6 years old
Young Miss: 7-9 years old
Junior Miss: 10-12 years old
Teen Miss: 13-15 years old
Miss: 16-19 years old
The pageant director reserves the right to alter age divisions and/or eliminate a maximum of one age group based on the number of entries.
Judges will choose the winners from those who entered this optional category during the group line up. Those who opt to enter this category will need to include the $10 fee with their application. Contestants will need to bring an 8×10 photo to the check-in table the day of the pageant. Please DO NOT mail your photo. There will be one winner per age division who will receive a special award.
Evening Wear Attire
Contestants will need a pageant or prom style dress for this pageant. The three youngest age divisions (Baby Miss, Tiny Miss and Little Miss) may wear a Sunday or Easter style dress. Make-up is allowed; however, please remember that makeup should enhance the beauty of your child.
There will be a dressing area. Each contestant may have one person with them in the dressing area. No food or drinks will be allowed in this area. Please be responsible for cleaning up after yourself.
Registration on Pageant Day
Contestants will check in at the registration table and will receive your contestant number. Contestants MUST check in no later than 15 minutes before your designated start time. Any photos for the Most Photogenic category that are not turned in by this time will not be judged and no refunds will be given. Contestants must be ready at their designated start time. There will be no delay in start time. Doors will open and check-in will begin at 4:30pm.
No rehearsal will be held. Each age division will have a lineup and then contestants will do their individual walks. Baby Miss and Tiny Miss contestants will be allowed one parent to walk with them if needed.
All applications for entry into the pageant must be completed online. Once your application is accepted and all fees paid, you will be notified via email of your confirmation with more details as needed.
