J. Collins Funeral Home and Cremation

After working in the funeral business for 5 years J. Collins knew what he wanted to do, own his own funeral home and care for the families of his hometown during their time of need. The son of a school teacher and grocer, J. was some what of a First Generation Funeral Director. His grandfather, J. Edwin Busbin had been a State Licensed Funeral Director since 1964. J. began working in funeral service in 1997, toting flowers, washing the rolling stock, and cutting the grass at the funeral home each week, duties he still tends to. J. served his apprenticeship and worked his way throught school, attending West Georgia College and graduating from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in February of 2000. He received his Funeral Directors and Embalmers License in September of 2000. With a lot of prays and family support J. Collins Funeral Home was opened on July 1, 2002 at 206 South Carroll Road in downtown Villa Rica
