Describe how you will use the grant funds:
Mirrors of Beauty Salon, Capital Cuts Salon proposes to enhance the overall features of the salon by purchasing four upgraded styling chairs. Three chairs will be replaced within the main service area at the front of the salon. After 12 years in operation the black vinyl upholstery on the chairs are worn and split at the seams exposing the interior cushioning. Moreover, because of the age of the chairs the hydraulic base does not operate as smoothly, requiring much more effort to swivel and raise the chairs. Upgrading the chairs will improve the decorative and aesthetic ambiance of the salon, as well as enhance the quality of services. In addition to the proposed improvements, a reclining styling chair will be added to a private suite in the salon. The suite will be used to expand salon offerings to include specialized services such as eyelash extensions, and to perform hair treatments and services for clients with more challenging hair issues such as alopecia.
