Juneteenth Celebration Concert
The MILL Amphitheater 106 Temple Street, Villa Rica, GAJuneteenth Celebration Concert Juneteenth is a holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. It marks June 19, 1865, the day when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced that enslaved people were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been issued. Today, Juneteenth is recognized as a day to honor freedom, reflect on African American history and culture, and celebrate resilience, progress, and community. This year, Villa Rica will observe this day with a community concert. We look to grow and expand this celebration in years to come!
