The Momtahan Law Firm

Matthew Momtahan is Principal at the Momtahan Law Firm practicing civil and real estate litigation.  Prior to starting his own firm, he was an associate at Giacoma Schleicher Roberts & Daughdrill, LLC where he focused his practice in the areas of real estate litigation, commercial litigation, zoning and related local government quasi-judicial actions.

After law school, Matthew gained experience in commercial litigation, general civil litigation, and employment law, among other areas as an associate at a boutique litigation firm in downtown Atlanta.

While attending Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, Matthew held internship positions with the law firm of Plumley & Bucci, LLC and the Georgia Attorney General’s Office.  He also served as a consultant for the City of Hiram, was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, the Negotiations Competition Team, and a founding member of the Property Law Society.  At graduation, he was honored as a recipient of the Pro Bono Service Award for his work with the Georgia Attorney General’s Office.

After completing his undergraduate studies at Georgia State University, Matthew worked as a Land Use Planner with Paulding County, Georgia.  While at Georgia State he was selected to the Georgia Legislative Internship Program for his senior year interning with the House Appropriations Committee, elected President of the Pre-Law Club, and was a staff writer for the student newspaper, the Signal..  He also served as an intern with the Paulding County Administration & Finance Department.

Matthew has been married to his wife Jessica since 2009 and they enjoy all types of travel from extended vacations abroad to shorter day trips around the southeast. Matthew is an avid supporter of Georgia State basketball and football, and a long time Atlanta Braves fan.
